A bit about us…
We’re Erin & Victoria Butler, the creators and founders of Dateable.
Following a career in law, Erin leveraged her gift for emotional math (real math, not so much, just ask her tax law prof), coaching executives through everything from boardroom politics to personal breakthroughs.
After working with several elite matchmaking firms, she found herself deeply invested in her clients. She loved the work, but knew there was so much room for improvement.
The idea for Dateable cohered on a rainy mother-daughter walk “Ok, so matchmaking, but smarter and better, with the brand and infrastructure to do it right.” That’s when her eldest, Victoria, came in.
An organizational wizard with a strong tech background and keen operational sense, they were Dateable’s first perfect match.

Dating has always been complicated, but it used to be a lot more fun. From the days of passing notes around in class, to falling for your college lab partner; coffee-shop encounters and elevator meet-cutes. We seem to have lost some of that magic. Now, this isn’t a manifesto, and we’re not some anti-tech luddites, but online dating has drained the magic and replaced it with anxiety and burnout.
We’re immersed in a dating culture that has taught us to mistrust ourselves, one another, and caught us in a vicious circle of testing, defending, shopping and chronic dissatisfaction where we don’t know how to be real. It feels pretty lonely.
Dateable is the antidote do modern dating; we’re the right way to do matchmaking.
We’ve cultivated an expansive global network of smart, successful people, each one interviewed, vetted, and seeking the Dateable way.
